During the interview, the subject is asked about a variety of issues, depending on the purpose of the study, and verifies test results. All questions are individually dedicated to the respondent. For example, professional drivers are asked about their work, the routes they take and how they react to different situations on the road. Drivers who have had their license revoked for driving while intoxicated (alcohol or drugs) are asked about their use of these stimulants. Drivers who have lost their licence because they have exceeded the permitted number of penalty points are being asked to tell us under what circumstances they gained the points and for what offences. In the case of the perpetrators of the accident, it is important to recount the entire incident. These are just some of the issues raised in the interview.
You must bring with your proof of identity (ID card, passport) and a driver’s license. If the participant has a referral for a psychotest, e. g. from a doctor or employer, he/she should take this referral with him/her to the appointment (this is issued in the case of psychotests for company car drivers or forklift truck operators). Patients without a referral will also be admitted. Don’t forget your glasses or lenses if you drive in them on a daily basis.
With the use of various tools and devices, the following are checked: cognitive functions, reaction time, intellectual performance, personality traits, concentration, decision-making speed, and also the ability to see at night „in the dark” (sensitivity to glare – especially important in the case of company car drivers). The result is received immediately and is discussed before an appropriate ruling is made.
Psychotests for commercial drivers, taxi drivers, company cars and forklift operators are carried out in a friendly office with free parking. Please remember to come to the examination relaxed and sleepy – only then the result will be reliable.
